Our warm space is back for 2026 from Tuesday 6th January and every Tuesday to the end of March in term time, from 3 – 5pm.
Come along for FREE creative activities, explore the museum and enjoy refreshments kindly provided by The Tack Room. Booking is not required, just turn up and join in the fun!

How to get here
Buses to Newmarket are available from London Victoria, Stansted, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and Great Yarmouth. The closest bus stop to the museum is on the High Street and just a 2 minute walk from Palace House via Sun Lane, next to Pizza Express. It is just a three minute walk from Newmarket Bus Station.
Newmarket railway station is an 11 minute walk away. You can find up to date train times on the Greater Anglia website.
There is parking for Blue Badge holders on Palace Street. Please observe local highway restrictions and ensure you display your Blue Badge at all times.
The two closest car parks to the National Horseracing Museum are Rous Road, CB8 8LX (short stay – 4 hours) and All Saints, CB8 8ET (long stay) car parks.
