We are delighted to launch a new creative initiative for young people aged 16-18 years in collaboration with Newmarket Community Arts and the Hub, thanks to support from the Thriving Communities Fund and the Racing Foundation.
Young people can join our six, monthly Art Club sessions at the museum, where they will meet a range of artists, learn new skills and techniques, develop their wellbeing and a portfolio of work and enjoy spending time being creative. The first session will be on Thursday 27 November from 1:30-3:30pm at the museum with screen printing artist Ricki Oultis, young people will develop and create their own unique t-shirt using screen printing techniques. Participants will also receive a sketch book and pencils so they can continue to enjoy being creative between sessions.
